October 2021:
Bertie is a Maine Coon mix. He is adorable and clever. He sits, gives his paw then chooses what he wants by tapping the box or packet.
He takes biscuits from my hand like a dog, one at a time. He loves the tap on in the bath to drink.
He will walk with me if he thinks I am not so well, waits for me and walks back with me.
November 2021:
I have two Maine Coon mix kitties. They are so different in temperament. One sleeps lots and only goes out in my garden while the boy looks in all the gardens in the Close.
Bertie thinks all animals are his friend and wants to play with them, while Telulah likes all humans to make a fuss of her and runs to meet the window cleaner, who she loves and follows around.
Bertie sits, gives his paw and then chooses a treat by tapping the box or packet. They both sit on command and both love running water to drink and play.
They both run to the door for mail, then sit next to it until it’s collected. Bertie loves to be talked to and squirms into the most odd shapes with quivering paws.
He has the tiniest mew but makes beautiful pfennig noises to talk back to me. Telulah will catch a leaf and proudly bring it into the house for me. She is very sweet and pretty.
Bertie can jump high into the air from standing and loves to play with a feather on a stick.
Bertie has a knitted king which he stole from the nativity display. He carries this around and often puts it in my bed. They are the most delightful companions, who make me laugh every day.
December 2021:
Bertie is adorable! He watches me and if he thinks I’m struggling he walks with me gently nudging my hand along the rail. He waits for me and walks me back to bed.
He is so handsome and such a gentleman to his sister. If she wants what he has he steps back and let’s her have it.
He waits for the mail to be collected sitting beside it all the time. He can leap high into the air from standing and is so light on his feet.
When he wants a treat he sits then looks at the pots tapping the one he would like. He then gives his paw and takes the biscuit so gently from between my fingers.
He loves to go outside and explore and enjoys the rain and snow. His fur is so soft and long that it hides his Christmas bow.
His tail is a feather duster and collects leaves and twigs. I call him Bert monkey from the Enid Blyton stories as his tail is so long it’s always I to trouble. He is 4 yrs old and weighs 6.35 k
February 2022:
Telulah is a sweet fluffy girl with a mind of her own. She has large fluffy paws and a large voice too.
Telulah likes to get in the bath with the tap running and will wash all over. She has recently enjoyed a lap cuddle and will smile and drool if petted.
She waits for her brother to get the treats out of treat toys and then she homes in to eat them.
If I don’t watch she will eat her food and just push her brother out of the way and eat his. He never stops her and has been known to bring a treasure home which she also takes.
If Bertie is playing with a feather stick and she looks interested he will sit and let her play only playing himself when she has finished.
Telulah is a princess and expects to be treated as such! Her little face is adorable and everyone loves her. She loves attention from visitors but has never been out of my back garden.
Telulah will proudly bring in a leaf she has caught and present it to me. She loves retrieving shiny sweet papers and when I moved my sofa I found a pile which she instantly pounced on.
She carries these papers so gently in her mouth. When she was younger she would drag the door mat into the kitchen and cover her food with it.
She also liked to drag leopard print fur fabric from my sewing room, through the dining room to place it under the coffee table.
She really is the sweetest little girl! Telulah is nearly 5yr and weighs 7.35 k

Looks like she is a Brown Mackerel Tabby w/ White.
From the pictures I think I see dark flecks in her coat instead of stripes ...
Stripes is a Classic Tabby, flecks make it Mackerel.
When the paws are white, it is called w/white.
2023: He is a gentleman with a very caring nature. Bertie drinks from a running tap and sits on command.
He looks at his treat tubs and taps the one he wants. He won’t have any other. He gives his paw and crunches when asked.
He takes me to the kitchen and chooses his food, too. When I am unwell he massages where the pain is.
He takes me to the bathroom by pushing my hand gently to move a step. He sits and waits for me and takes me back to bed.
He sleeps with his paw touching me. He always knows if I am unwell. He has a cute way of twisting his body with paws uppermost and as I talk to him he quivers.
He wants to be friends with all animals but they run or spit as he is so big. He measures a metre from nose to tail tip.
I absolutely adore my intelligent boy who loves conversation.
Winter 2024:
She is a princess and loves to be petted. Every visitor has come to see her.
She takes things from her brother and he never protests.Often she sits up like a raccoon and looks adorable.
Telulsh will squeeze herself into any small basket and claim it as her bed. She loves to lay in water in the bath with the tap running. She also gets her top half into my small pond.
She weighs between 6.5 and 7.5. Her paws are enormous!! Her fur is really thick and deep with orange hues around her ruff.
Both my cats are 7 in May and are brother and sister. Even the vet says she is so pretty and calls her a little lioness.
Telulsh only goes out in the garden and hunts leaves which she proudly struts in with. She is Maine Coon Bengal mix and I would love to know what colour she is known as?
She is loved so much!
Spring 2024:
Telulah is cuteness overload. Every visitor has come to fuss her and she runs from sleeping upstairs to make sure she gets what she wants.
She has huge fluffy paws and will bring a wayward hand back to her head to be petted. She often lays flat out tummy up and loves a tummy tickle too.
Water is of great interest to her and she loves a running tap to sit under and will wash herself and drink for ages if allowed.
I have her sibling, a boy who is very long bodied with a great big furry tail.
They are great friends and will touch noses and wash each other although mainly Bertie washes Telulah.
Telulah can take anything from Bertie whether it be a toy or food. Telulah has very thick fur with a lot of orange in it while Bertie is Tuxedo.
Telulah is very vocal and sometimes gives great long answers to my attempts to communicate with her.
Telulah is now 7 years and has gone over the fence for the first time. She has a look around then takes ages to work out how to get back! She is a Beatrix Potter character for sure.
Telulah will ask for biscuits even when she has a dish full and I have to pretend to put more in the dish before she will eat it.
I am trying to get her to crunch as she has always swallowed her food and treats. Telulah is a pretty girl and she knows it to.
I brush her which she likes but last time I clipped her claws she put her jaw over my arm. She didn’t clamp down but made sounds to say she wasn’t happy.
I feel very lucky to have two beautiful creatures in my home.
